Our grand tour

Day 85 and 86 Badhauri and the return to Phokara

We enjoy the village so much that we decide to stay here for another night. In the morning and afternoon we go for little strolls and in between we do some home schooling with the boys.

Our hotel owners are such lovely people and the day we left we received a traditional Nepali blessing. Sometimes it’s really hard to say goodbye to the people and places… (especially when you know you’ve hours of walking ahead and legs and back are somehow sore already.) Had I known that it would take us eight hours till our return to Phokara I would have stayed in this sleepy village… Our way led us through an indigenous forest, to a new stupa in an abandoned village, along a road for ages and through pady fields to a place called Taku… – something. I did not care anymore. Could hardly stand on my feet and all 4 just wanted to rest. I really don’t know how the boys managed all the walking. From there we took the bus back to Pokhara, which was another hour’s drive along a river bed on an extremely bumpy road… Bed early tomight after a long warm shower and a good Thali.
