Today is the day we want to walk the six kilometers around Urulu. Unfortunately it is the hottest day so far. So at eight we head off, creamed up with bottles full of water, an apple and some nuts each and very important, our flynet. A gift of Peter. We first laughed about it then it became an absolute necessity. I can’t really enjoy the last bit as it’s just getting too hot. But respect to the boys who don’t complain during the whole four hours it takes us to walk around.

The cultural centre afterwards turns into an energy regaining centre for us. We are so wrecked that we can’t motivate ourselves to read all those stories and information about the Aborigines and their life’s but only eat and drink. The adults have an afternoon nap while Finn and Anik spend the time in the pool. There’s not much more to do at 43°C….
In the evening we drive down to watch the sunset. The bushfires are still burning.
