After the Breakaways we visit Crocodile Harry’s Nest. His real name was Avid von Blumenthal, a baron from Latvia who fought for Germany in WWII. He came to Australia where he hunted crocodile (some say up to 40 000) for 13 years before coming to Coober Pedy in 1975, where he hunted opal – and women (and/or their underwear) . His dugout became a tourist site and a set used in movies e.g. Mad Max . Harry died in 2006.
