Our grand tour

Day 246: Hahndorf

We definitely left the Outback. We pass many vineyards, bigger towns and traffic increases.

No, we are not too happy about this. Weirdly enough, I have no interest in rivers and the ocean. On the way south east we accidently pass Hahndorf, a typical German town, and what Aussis think a German town looks like. The red acorn trees surprise me most. I didn’t expect autumn in Australia. The boys eat sausage rolls and I am very tempted to drink a Münchner Hofbräu beer.

Over night we stay in Murray Bridge, a town at the banks of the river Murray. Pelicans fly past and hundreds of Galahs gather next to our tent. At least some wildlife’s still there.
