We have to leave Tofo and go to Maxixe, the nearest bigger town. Luckily just for a day. But as there’s no ATM here and we are running out of cash and because we heard that there is an immigration office which might be able to help us with our visa we hit the road. Most of our time in Maxixe we spend waiting: waiting at the immigration office that couldn’t help us in the end, waiting at the bank to get money and once again to pay some of it onto our host’s account, waiting for lunch (but at least we could sit down and enjoy the street life) and waiting for the boat to return to Inhambane.

All in all it was a nice trip and good to get out and see some more of Mozambique. But it’s also nice to come back “home” to our blue house.
