Our grand tour

Day 108: mad dogs and English men…

As it’s weekend and there’s no home schooling we decided to go for a long walk along the coast. About 7km to Kapel Beach. What a beautiful scenery, what blistering sun, what an effort. Only mad dogs and English men walk in the sun! And it must be true. What were we thinking. We ended up with sweat poring down, headaches and exhaustion. So we decided to give up and stop at a little shop for lunch. The only possible place to get something. And what a lovely place. Really cold softdrinks, the best Roti-bread, bananas for free and a lot of action… Regaining our powers we decided to continue for a few hundred meters to a small fishing village and spent some time there at the beach not knowing that this was the start of the beach we wanted to go anyway. Just a few hundred meters further a lagoon started on the other side of the beach so that it was trapped between waters… We made it.
