Our grand tour

Day 193 & 194: Pakiri Beach

We had to come back here. This is officially my favourite spot so far on our travel, even if it was busy and rainy on our first day. I went for a magical walk along the beach on my own. So many shells that at one point I decided to stop collecting and to continue the next day – had a big project in mind…

On Sunday the place emptied and the weather brightened up. Yeah, go for a walk along the beach with the kids and Bill, collect more shells and jump in the waves… Highly motivated I made them come, but Finn and particularly Anik didn’t want to walk, there were hardly any shells on the beach because of the extra high tide at night and the sea was too rough to dive in the waves. Even knee-deep to hiphigh the water had enough force to through you over and pull you towards the open… 😵 It might sound awful but we did enjoy the day after all… Maybe because the whole place is just so magical.

And in the evening Bill and I watched the sunset. Please, can anyone stop the time!

We met a really nice couple with 2 small boys (one and three) from Auckland/Devonport who invited us to their place whenever we go that direction. There are always some angles around!
