Yes, yesterday Auckland, today Wellington. And an eleven hours bus ride in between. We took the sleeper bus. The boys were excited and really enjoyed the ride. For Bill and me it was okay. As we all had really narrow beds with a hammock above our heads so sitting up wasn’t possible we did manage to get a few hours of sleep. The journey was over before we knew how. We checked in at the YHA, waited for the rain to stop – which took a few hours – and went back to the Te Papa-Museum. As a goodbye present New Zealand had the best Maori dancers (and singers) performing for us. With tears in my eyes I watched and listened. I could feel the emotions they showed in the dances – couldn’t help but think of our Allgäuer women spinning around with their bored faces.
