Day 4: Mount Isa – Tennant Creek: 660 km / 8 hr
This is our longest drive and today we are slowly getting enough…
Today we cross the border into Northern Territory and are delighted that we can officially drive 130 km/h from now on. And the clock changes half an hour back so that we make it to the campsite in time.
We have a fight over our lunch with millions of flies…
We come across a traffic light in the middle of nowhere…
The landscape is still getting drier and you can see many termite hills, some even dressed …
We pass many road trains…
And finally arrive in Tennant Creek. A town with many Aborigines, who seem somehow lost and dislocated. It’s sad to see.
