Still no action at the waterhole, so we head off soon and shortly after the campsite we see a few female elephants with their kids and two lions. When two male elephants arrive they give out to the lions by flapping their ears and blowing their noses.
Besides that there is hardly any action in Etosha. Just before we leave the park we see an eagle. Anik’s delighted. Unfortunately no hyenas…The plan was to spend the rest of the day and the night at a cheetah and hyena rescue centre but after all the extra payments we couldn’t afford it any more. But Eneas sorted it out that we are allowed to pitch our tents in a Kenyan doctor’s yard who is in Germany at the moment visiting his wife and child. Life! We can use his facilities and get a typical African dish all for free.
