We arrive in Gaborone at five in the morning. No plan where to go, it’s freezing cold and nothing is open yet. It takes us three unsuccessful hours trying to book a place on airbnb. It’s the cheapest option that’s why we kept trying. Anyway, as it doesn’t work we get so frustrated and we decide to chance it. So we rap up our sleeping bags again, find a taxi that takes us to a place where we are hoping to stay for a few days. It’s okay – no, not really … Impersonal, blocked shower drains, cockroaches in the fridge… In Airbnb the two double rooms were advertised as 32 Euro per night but they want to charge us 85 €. No, thank you, but we decide to stay for this night anyway as we are exhausted. Log in at Airbnb works again and we manage to book a new place for the next days. All is good!
